Eric Toulemonde holds a PhD in economics from the University of Namur (1998). He was "Marie Curie fellow" at the University of Aarhus in 1998-1999, postdoctoral researcher at the Fonds national de la recherche scientifique (Belgium) from 1999 to 2002 and assistant professor at the University of Lausanne between 2002 and 2006. He has been a professor at the University of Namur since 2006 where he has been Director of the Department of Economics (2010-2013), Director of  CERPE (2014-2017), and Director of the Department of the evening programs in economics and management (2016-2020). He is a member of the research center CERPE within the research institute DEFIPP (University of Namur). He is also affiliated with IZA (Bonn). His current research covers various issues of industrial organization but he has also conducted research in labor economics and economic geography.
